PLANTO is FUCHS’s line of rapidly biodegradable oils, greases, and lubricants.
They are based on synthetic esters or vegetable oils to achieve high biodegradability while maintaining high technical performance.
Intended especially for applications with high environmental risk: near water bodies, agriculture and forestry, municipal equipment, marine uses, water treatment, etc.
Biodegradability: Products are rapidly biodegradable (often according to OECD 301 B), meaning ≥50% biodegradation in that test.
Renewable content: Many PLANTO products contain substantial renewable raw materials.
Performance: Despite being “green”, many PLANTO products meet or exceed performance of conventional mineral-oil products in wear protection, corrosion resistance, low temp flow, etc.
Certifications: Many carry environmental/ecolabels (EU Ecolabel, etc.) or meet standards like ISO 15380 HEES, etc.
