The Renolit GP Series are general-purpose, multipurpose greases based on lithium soap (thickener) and mineral base oils.
They are designed for “general lubricating of machines” — bearings (both roller & plain), fittings, moving joints etc.
RENOLIT GP-1 — NLGI Grade 1 (softer, more flowable)
RENOLIT GP-2 — NLGI Grade 2 (medium consistency, balanced for many applications)
RENOLIT GP-3 — NLGI Grade 3 (thicker, better for heavier loads and slower moving parts)
Renolit GP greases are used in a wide range of settings:
Agricultural, forestry, and construction equipment.
General machinery: bearings (plain & roller), joints, linkages, etc.
Transport, mobile equipment where ambient temperature might vary, but extremes are not too high.
Advantages:
Fairly cost-effective due to being a mineral oil + lithium thickener product.
Decent temperature range for many environments (−30 to +120 °C) covers most non-specialized machines.
Good for medium load, general duty, where premium synthetic or specialty greases are not required.
Limitations / Considerations:
Not designed for specialty needs (extreme temperatures above ~120 °C, high water exposure, food-grade, etc.).
As with all lithium soaps, in very wet or highly humid / water wash-out environments performance can degrade; water resistance is moderate.
NLGI Grade 3 (GP-3) is thick; may not flow well or be pumpable in centralized lubrication systems if piping/lines are long or temperatures low.
