Urethyn MP is a line of high-temperature, mineral-oil based greases thickened with polyurea.
The grease is formulated for demanding bearing applications — where heat, moisture, or corrosive agents might be present.
The MP series includes at least two NLGI grades: MP 1 (softer) and MP 2 (medium).
Typical uses / best suited for:
Bearings exposed to elevated temperatures (e.g. hot bearings in road-pavers, asphalt machinery)
Electric motor bearings, especially those requiring long maintenance or relubrication intervals.
Ventilators, fans, compressors, pumps in chemical plants or heavy industries where water or aggressive media may be present.
Continuous casting plants, roller bearings under thermal load.
Handles a wide temperature range, especially suitable for high temperature bearing duty.
Strong EP and corrosion/water resistance make it good for harsh environments.
Good longevity (long intervals between re-greasing) because of polyurea thickener and high stability.
Useful in centralized systems due to pumpability over long lines.
Polyurea greases typically don’t mix well with some other grease types (e.g. some lithium greases, calcium, etc.). If switching from another grease, ensure compatibility or cleanup. Even though Urethyn MP is fairly tolerant, mixing could reduce performance.
At upper extremes (near +200 °C), performance will depend heavily on operating conditions; short-term exposure may be allowed, but continuous exposure close to max can shorten life.
If machine manufacturers specify certain grease types or certifications (food grade, performance spec), need to verify compliance.
